People keep talking about the flight risk analysis, and that's valid, but a judge also considers how likely the defendant is to commit additional crimes while out on bail

I listed that as one of multiple factors the judge considers

Yep

Yep, that’s how bondsman make money and why they employ bounty hunters. They just want the juice you put up, but they lose money if the guys they bond out skip out on court. Your bondsman def got your bond money back

Now would you be saying that if it was your young son or daughter who got killed by a drunk driver doing 150+ mph?

What does his bond amount have to do with that? He would have posted whatever they set it at. Ruggs is going to go to prison for a long time. Relax

Because of the reason where I have seen many of other people get a bond at or just above that for a less severe crime. That is with clean records before hand. Happened to a buddy of mine for something less severe (BAC under the legal limit but hit a guy walking on the shoulder on a dark back road).

Eh, maybe indirectly. Saying "no priors" is incredibly broad and doesn't necessarily address the issues I raised.

That’s exactly what it infers

So your buddy killed someone drinking and driving and had a higher bond? The horror

I’m calling bullshite either way

Now I’m going to really blow your mind. Some people bond out for felony murder charges for far less than $150k

Good thing he wasn’t unvaccinated or have some derogatory emails or it might be a big story in sports media.

Not really. I assume by "no priors" you mean no arrests or convictions? I was talking about his background as a whole (i.e. being a community leader, a public figure, displinary actions taken against him in college or the NFL, etc.).

Yes, that would include "priors" (depending on your definition), but I was stating that the analysis can go deeper, depending on the judge.

Can not call Bullshite on your shite reading skills I guess.

I could not care less if you think it is bullshite or not. I know what happened and I know what his bond was. That was my reasoning for scratching my head at a person committing a worse crime, receiving the same bond.

Ok, sure

During a bond hearing a judge wants to know what the criminal history is, if the person has ties to the community, if they have family, if they have a job, if they’re a flight risk. I said almost all of those in the post, but you thought you needed to say “welll acccruuyallllyy that’s vague and could mean anything.” No, it doesn’t mean anything in that context. GTFO
