I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Aggies for ensuring we won't have to listen to Boomer Sooner (worst fight song EVER!) for the remainder of the bevo tournament! Congrats on the win!

This has been discussed before, but I think Boomer Sooner is worse than Rocky Top. I've only heard Rocky Top at a bowl game though, not at Neyland. They're both fricking terrible regardless

Maybe its because I've only heard it in very small amounts, but I actually kinda like Rocky Top. At least the original is great

In all honesty, I will admit Boomer Sooner is worse. At least Rocky Top has more than two words.

Exactly why it ranks higher than Boomer Sooner. On my scale, at least. Boomer Sooner is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I'm sure Rocky Top get annoying, but I'm ready for something new to annoy me!

Serious question to you being an aTm fan. How do you feel about the upcoming schedule this year compared to what's been in the past, year in and year out? A bit of a step-up to say the least. Not flaming at all, I realize you guys are stepping into the "mecca" of college football and congrats on that. Just wondering what the average fans thoughts on it are.

Florida
USCe
Ark (yes I know you played last season)
Ole Miss (sorry for partying)
LSU
Miss St.
Bama

no doubt the schedule is more tough. okie and tu were always tough games against tough teams, not saying they are bama or lsu but still tough. the big difference i see is that there arent the ku, tech, isu games left to help our the record or regroup. its gonna be a tough game week in and week out.

This will be one of the two biggest challenges for both of us. It's more of the top competition, and no gimme games except for noncons - and we're playing 2 BCS noncon teams in 2012.

The other big challenge that some seem to overlook is that we have to prepare for all new teams - and they only have to get ready for us. We've got to learn all their schemes, players, etc. That's a really steep learning curve, on top of tougher competition.

Yep that's the thing, even some of the historically weak teams or teams in "down" years in the SEC are pretty damn decent football teams as a whole. The week in/week out gauntlet of conference games in a season almost forces it. That's what I love about SEC football
