Who gives a shite? Regions and any other 18 year old high school kid that barely has hair on their balls can go frick themselves (or some hot chic) for all I care.

If you truly don't care, why even post in a recruiting thread? Posts like these always let me know that the poster does care and is, in fact, emotionally invested in the decisions of 18 year old kid. You feel embarassed about it for some reason and compensate for it by spouting off about how little you care. If you really didn't care, the correct response is to not post about it at all.

The fact of the matter is that recruiting is important for on the field success. Millions of normal, level-headed people care about their team and care about who they get to ensure on the field success. It is okay to care about recruiting. Obviously, there's a difference between caring and letting it ruin your day. Its pretty easy to distguish between the two.

Are you really trying to reason with TnM?

I care about recruiting, but I "honestly" never got worked up about this kid. He's a good player, but he's not the crown jewel of anyone's class. And as strange as it sounds, I was kind of hoping he'd go back to Bama just so I could see the backtracking that would be going on with bamamag, UA's version of ITAT. I think the majority of AU fan's opinion with this guy is, "if he comes, great...if he goes, okay". I think you'd get a lot more reaction if it was someone else.

My comments to TnM were more of a broad based argument on recruiting as whole, not just about Regions.

The only reason this story was big was because he was a life-long Bama fan, from a Bama family, from a predominately Bama area, not because he's the best lineman ever. To be sure, the main negative emotional reaction came from Bama fans when he committed to AU. AU fans were pretty euphoric for the mere fact that it as an opportunity to rub it in, and rightfully so IMO. Bama fans would have done the same thing. It was good flame material even if it wasn't based in logic.

I really don't expect many AU fans to be that concerned about what has happened. Would he have helped your O-line? Probably. But there are plenty of equally talented lineman out there.

I never agree with CFB, but I do on this one. This really shouldn't be much of a surprise.

I hate when recruits flip flop like this- seems like this kid is an attention whore. If you're not ready to announce yet, fine. But when you insult a team and go with their rival, then open yourself back up for recruiting- well it seems you got a prima donna thing going. Like an earlier poster said, I think the real winner will be the team that doesn't get this kid. He will not do well in a situation where he's competing against alot of talent. My guess is if he goes to a good team then they got themselves a career special teams player.

I've never understood this line of thinking. It's like the anonymity of a message board gives cowards a blank check to say whatever they want no matter what. It's at least as equally immature as what Regions said about Alabama and the coaching staff after he committed to Auburn, if not more so. You are basically doing the same thing except on a much lower public scale and you have the comfort of no one knowing who you are.

So stupid it's hard to know where to start.

I was not advocating message board rants because of their anonimity. I would say the same fricking thing to his face. My point was that the criticism should stay on message boards (a legitimate form of public expression, you fricking assclown) and not take on a personal form (calling him, texting him, putting an ad in the local paper, etc.).

So STFU. Seriously. STFU.

No, I'd rather his spot go to someone more committed to the program.

I agree. The kid committed to Auburn and he should go to Auburn. If he can't keep his word to Auburn then his word doesn't mean much and I am not sure I want him at Alabama.

Maybe Auburn should rethink this kid also. Just my opinion.

If Regions ends up committing to Bama, can AU fans say that the only reason is because of his mom? Seeing as how the only reason Dismukes chose AU is because his mom pressured him...

I think "He didn't have a committable offer from AU" would work just fine.

Of course you weren't actively advocating it. Who would come out and say, "Hey everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that I think Regions is a pussy but I'm too much of a coward to say it to his face." No one would. It's implied by your immature rhetoric.

Sure you would.

Criticism is fine. But what you were doing was not criticism. You were attacking someone for doing the very thing that this post shows you are capable of....reacting emotionally.

Name-calling? Seriously? How do you expect to be taken seriously when you can't be mature enough to even have a discussion without letting your emotions get in the way. I've obviously hurt your feelings.

Well, since you put it that way...

I can't help but think when I read the tone of your post how much you must feel like Regions felt when Saban told him to cut his recruitment off. You two really are peas in a pod. I eagerly await your next name-calling rant.
