A lot of fans were also upset about Ole Miss doing away with him. I remember in 2004 when we played Vanderbilt, the Commodore walked by and had a Col Reb sticker on. I thought that was pretty cool.

Granted, Rebel Bear looks like he's about to eat that kid, but I'd rather look into the frightening, firey eyes of Rebel Black Bear than stare into the soulless eyes of the mentally void Bully.
ETA: Didn't realize pank used the same picture. Sorry. Didn't mean to innundate everyone with pics of Bully.

The girl in that costume is almost uglier than the costume. She has dead eyes too...

I'm sure you have a point in regards to some people but I'm not one of them. The Col. was awesome. I was pulling for OM to tell the rest of the world to shove it.

I have made fun of the black bear in the past. I will not do it here though because what he is doing is for the kids. They didn't look scared to me and if they had a good time then I'm all for it.

Of course. But I will say that you could place any mascot in that room and the kids' faces would light up. You bring in Col Reb, Big Al, Smokey, etc....the kids will be all smiles and have a good time.

Yeah, they changed the eyes or something from the drawings of the bear to the costume, and the costume bear is a little strange looking. But hell, all or most of the SEC mascots are a little strange looking. They all kinda creep me out, anyway. Mascots and clowns.
