You left out the 1 big reason he may want to leave. NCAA sanctions are on the horizon.

Plus high achiever types that excel at what they do get bored and want new challenges. So this could also be a possibility.

But more likely sanctions.

It's funny that some clowns actually believe this. It's highly likely that any major sanctions would give Alabama the opportunity to not pay him a dime. But yeah, keep enjoying your fantasy.

I said it on TD. His contract pays him for the rest of his life . Even after retirement if he does not coach anywhere else. Plain and simple.

So are you saying if they get hit with major sanctions Alabama will not owe Saban any money? Am I reading that correctly?

Unless there are NCAA level I or level II violations. Then they can fire him with cause and wouldn't have to pay him a dime. Page 23 of his contract. So much for that whole "NCAA sanctions coming" fantasy.

Let’s move on. Just appreciate the time you spent together Bama. It was a good run but there’s a game to play Saturday.

So If Alabama gets hit with NCAA sanctions, Saban’s contract is void and he will not get paid another dime from the University of Alabama.

Hmmm....could there be any logical reason why he would all of sudden start looking for another job?? Think for a second guy, you can figure it out.

I tee’d it up for you now connect the dots

Solid post Prison. But the main three reasons he's going nowhere are #1 He loves winning and has a great job. #2 Family. He has his kids, mom and in-laws there and is going no where since his wife rules that roost and she loves where she lives and hates the big city. And #3 is he is a car nut. His dream when he left college was to be an auto dealer but he got into coaching to make a living. But now he has backing and unlimited numbers of dealerships from Mercedes Benz which is head quartered in Tuscaloosa. They are supporters of him and the program and lend factory support to him so he can coach til he no longer wants to.

Good news for others is he likely will leave coaching after about 4 more years to be an auto dealer full time with a chain of Benz ops. Meantime anything could happen but him leaving to take another coaching job is not even on the radar screen.
