Elliot is up to 220 and the coaches are talking him up.

Imagine that.
It's going to take more than coaches "talking him up" to have a good year...

if Warren Norman was on any other SEC team he would be consensus top 5. Dude is a badass. But seriously, having guys in there that haven't seen one snap of college ball is turrible and knuckleheaded.

How did Spencer Ware and Mike Ford, who have done nothing, make the list, but Stevan Ridley not?
I know he hasn't done much, but he should at least crack the list over 2 guys with high potential that have never played a down

If Dennis Johnson would commit 100% to being a team player, he'd be one of the best backs in the league. I think it's obvious that he excels when given chances with the plays the coaches feel comfortable with him. He just needs to show more consistency in practice. He doesn't give them any reason to trust him in practice over guys like Wingo, Knile Davis, or B Green.
But man, he's had some SICK runs...

I agree with everything except how you rated Bama's RB's... Ingram has already stated that Richardson is way ahead of him...

Mark Ingram will be the best RB statistically in the SEC.
Other good backs:
Trent Richardson - Bama
Bryce Brown - UT
Jeff Demps - UF
Washaun Ealey - UGA
Kenny Miles - SC
Brandon Bolden - OM
Derrick Locke - UK
Warren Norman - Vandy
Putting anyone else on this list is kind of a stretch, because we don't even know who will get the ball the most on teams like Auburn, Arkansas, MSU, and LSU.

That's because Bama gets away with holding.

As far as LSU goes, I don't think Murphy is an every down type back. LSU needs Ridley or Ford to step up in that role and use Murphy as more of a receiving threat. And since Crowton is so hell bent on running option plays, Murphy should be our option RB. Of course, if these players have any sort of success, expect them to ride the bench for playing too well.

No he won't. He will have to give up carries this year to Richardson and Lacy. Bama will have three backs in the top 10 in stats though.

I disagree with the call on Lacy. Richardson, however, SHOULD get more carries than Ingram.

I am pretty excited about Gilislee this year. He may not end up on high on the list, but people will know who is is by 2011.
