I know. I imagine it has to do with our stadium, to be more exact.

ETA: wasn't arguing with the ranking, either. I was diving into the statement about Oxford being hated on in Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge is a meh city.

LSU is pretty nice and the tailgating is fun.

The grove MUST be good...enough to keep most games from being highly attended.

I have NEVER seen our stadium "underwhelming" in ANYTHING. And if I'm not mistaken we played y'all while The Fair was in town, which doesn't help the gameday experience. If you still had a great time after that then I say Columbia should be MUCH higher than #8.

Thanks for the props, brah

It is. I might be spending my entire saturday there.

ETA: I haven't missed an Ole Miss football home game since daytime fireworks in 07.

I love this. Consistently praised by the national news media, but hated on in Baton Rouge. Are our bars too nice? Are there too few Ed Hardy shirts? Too many attractive coeds? Too few corndogs in the grove?

and suprise suprise Baton Rouge is in front of Oxford. Now Im not one of those OM fans who thinks Oxford is the best college town in america, but is frickin better than BR.

Keep bars open till 2, sell cold beer, fix the exits, and those open lots on jackson street and Oxford is better than Athens. Not as big, but I lived in Colbert for over a year and know both towns very well.

See, I'm just not one of those people. Drinking/having a good time? Awesome. But I'm there for the main event. I want the pageantry. I want to hear the helmets hit. I couldn't imagine being so close to the game and not actually going in. That'd be torture.

Nashville is by far the coolest SEC town. That is ridiculous.

keep dreaming. You all have a long way to even meet up with Ttown. focus on getting on Ttown's level first.

I'll jump in. I wrote the article, so fire away. Looks like a good bit of you agree with it, obviously some don't.

As far as USC's stadium, I don't like that I can see out of it. I don't like the constant "sandstorm". I didn't think it was too loud. It just didn't do it for me.

Lexington, the tailgating and in-stadium atmosphere was subpar. I'm sure RUPP is incredible, but as far as football weekends go, it was toward the bottom.
