Opinion.........

When Lafell is one of the 1st WR's drafted next April.........that opinion will be fact....

JJ is a great WR but Lafell is a SR with many many more bouts and accolades under his belt.

Brandon LaFell-LSU JR 13(games) 63(rec) 928(yds) 8 (TDs)

Julio Jones stats with better QB and an extra game
14 (games) 58 (rec) 924 (yds) 4 (tds)

What do AJ Green's stats' look like, on a team where he wasn't even the #1 WR?

Remember when you told me last preseason that Harry Coleman is better than Rashad Johnson?

i was just messing with you BTW. i can see legit arguments for lafell, jones, or green. i don't think any are clearly better than the others currently. although i do think eventually julio and aj will reach a different level

Instead of comparing receptions between Jones and lafell, let's compare drops. I'm sure lafell wins that hands down.

Also, the thread was started concerning the 2009 season. Now go back in your hole.

Top 5 for 2009
Make your own list. This is my opinion.

1A. Julio Jones Bama
1B. A.J. Green UGA
3. Brandon Lafell LSU
4. Dexter Mccluster UM
5. Reuben Randle? LSU
Lafell should be on top until Julio surpasses him. Julio has a greater ceiling, but Lafell is more productive at this point.

That said, Julio as a Sr. > Lafell as a Sr.

julio was one of the most NFL ready freshmen i've seen. he and adrian peterson seem like they almost could have made the jump straight out of high school

I can't argue those points for sure.
But, imo Jones in '09 will be better than Lafell in '09. JJ was a true frosh last season. I'm sure he'll be much improved this season.
And, if you go by past production then A.J. Green is #1 without a doubt.
