I went to MSU's Kappa Sigma house when we played there. They had a "Rent a Cop" in the house, what the F is that all about.. ultra lame.

You do know that IFC requires ACTUAL cops to be at all the fraternity houses in Fayetteville during official parties, right?

arkansas fan, I dont know where you got those numberd from but lsu's about 20 percent greek. that site is wrong. also, like florida, your greek system is an absolute joke. your school doesn't fall in line with the true southern fraternity culture. my friends down here at LSU from arkansas can back me up on that

Fraternities are going the way of the dinosaur.

Ole Miss is, what, about 30% Greek or so? That might seem like a ton, but it pales in comparison to the 50's and 60's when the school was like 70 or 80% Greek.

"true southern fraternity culture"? Dude, it's just a bunch of dudes who live together, bond, party, and make some good memories. Some people take this whole thing way too seriously. Through the fraternity I was in, I intertwined with just about every single SEC school both through other chapters of my fraternity, as well as others on those campuses. All frat guys are just about identical for every school in the SEC save Florida. It's just how it is.

Ole Miss should be #1. They friggin wake up and eat polos and khakis for breakfast with a side of shades and a sweater to tie around their neck.

Arkansas frat people I have a question: I have a few friends that go to arkansas and I always feel like I hear them complaining about how they are always on probation. As in they can't have parties at the house or something. Can someone explain what has been going on the past couple years among the fraternities?

I graduated a couple years ago so I haven't stayed real up to date recently, but while I was up there it was mostly centered around hazing/alcohol poisoning. Phi Delt did all sorts of shite...don't feel like typing all of it out but they are known for doing "shirt on your back and a fifth of jack" on bid day...they basically give u a fifth of jack, throw u in an empty room, and won't let u leave until u finish the bottle. The also would drive around and throw fruit at their pledges during i-week and i, myself, witnessed them throwing one out of the back of a truck and he actually broke his back. on that same week they also threw a fruit at a pledge, broke his nose, and he reported them to the campus police. police showed up at the house and saw several pledges tied up and blindfolded in their basement. just lots of shite.

I have literally witnessed some Kappa Sig pledges having to be forced to frick a goat while they filmed it. I always thought that was a big joke until I saw it with me own two eyes.

Pikes are, well...crazy Pikes. Them and Kappa Sig always get into tons of shite with each other.

Sigma Chi has had a lot of run-ins with coke and other drugs.

I could go on and on.

Nobody does that.

Yuppie, preppy, and fratty aren't all the same things. Yes, they're similar and even related, but not the same.

Tying a sweater around your neck isn't frat. Rocking the Patagonia fleece? Frat.
