Odom had a good turn around this year but it was over most of the bad SEC teams Tennessee, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, etc. How much would a win over Texas help his popularity with the fan base? Aren't they sort of a old rival of yalls.

I think it would help just bc all the shite TX talked when we left the B12. What would help a lot more is NOT starting a season 1-5.

How many wins do you expect next year?

Mizzou did well with the sad sacks of the conference this year and nothing more than that really. LSU did much the same, but at least had a quality win over Auburn.

Texas has never been a rival of Missouri's by any stretch of the imagination. Missouri was to the big twelve what they beat in the SEC East this year...a perennial bottom dweller.

So how much are you gonna miss Heupel and the O line coach?

Will he come back to Mizzou if BO screws the pooch down
the road?

shite who knows; I certainly didn't think we'd start out 1-5 this year.......but since you asked I'll say 10.

If Drew comes back I think we will be one of the better offenses in the conference. Durring the streak, not only is Drew and the passing game exceeding expectations, but we we're running the ball at a high level and have one of the best young tight ends in the country. Guess it all depends on the new OC.

Next year's success will go only as far as Odom and the defense will take them... and that's been a work in progress.

To answer the op's question, it would help tremendously.

We limped along down the stretch winning out over teams that had broken spirits, or were just not very good.

He’s done enough in his second year to keep his job, but not enough for him to get a raise or a serious long term contract. He’s basically back at square one, which I’m sure he’ll take considering how most of the fan base wanted Odom fired after the Purdue embarrassment and 1-5 start.

When the Big 12 had 12 teams before conference realignment started, we had two divisions like the SEC, the Big 12 North and the Big 12 South and the winner of each division would play in the Big 12 title game. We were in the Big 12 North and most of our rivals were in the North. The big two being kU and Nebraska. Our only old rival in the Big 12 South was OU. Things heated up between Mizzou and OU during the peak of the Pinkel Era. The hate for Texas isn’t a Mizzou thing because everyone in the Big 12 hated Texas. The hate for Texas wasn’t because of hatred between programs and fan bases. It was because of the distribution of revenue situation between Texas and the other 11 schools in the Big 12. Nebraska and Colorado threatened to leave if the conference didn’t stop bowing down to Texas and giving them all the revenue the conference generated. The Big 12 didn’t, so here we are.

Thats very humble of you. Even with coaching changes, this will be one of the best offenses i have ever seen.

defense, not so much.

This doesn't make sense to me. Purdue has a better program, and much much better overall AD and school.

All valid points. Perhaps we should offer (the real) Coach O ( from the real Columbia) a big raise and a contract extension ????

Probably. Making a bowl game is honestly more than Mizzou Football should expect most years in the SEC if you ask me. Anything above battling Vandy to not be rock bottom of the East seems like a success for you guys from an outside perspective, tbh

Again, all valid points. You seem like a really smart message board poster. Maybe we can be friends ?

Drew Brees
Kyle Orton
Bob Griese
^^QBU
Mike Alstott
Rod Woodson

Purdue has won a conference championship not only in the last 50 years, but also this millennium.

Purdue has a winning record in bowl games.

Historically? CHECK Purdue is better than Mizzou

Now? Jeff Brohm is infinitely a better coach than Barry Odom, and they literally just blew out Mizzou 35-3 THIS YEAR.

So basically what I'm saying is, you're retarded for suggesting that Purdue isn't better than Mizzou right now, because they definitely are. But so is most everybody else, so it ain't like that's hard to do.
