To be fair, we had no business being in the Cotton Bowl that year. We were 7-4, went 1-3 in our last 4 with an embarrassing loss to Baylor, and only got in b/c the Big 12 had two BCS teams and the Cotton knew we'd travel well.
Making that game set back our program years b/c it gave $Bill the brilliant idea to give Fran a raise and extention.
