They had a Korean night - literally every minor and major league team in the country does this stuff. They promote a local group, create a new jersey/shirt to sell and make money, have some fun with it and that's that.

That’s just doing what minor league teams should be doing. It’s good business and being good neighbors. I definitely wouldn’t put this in the woke category.

Trying to pander to a community by naming a team after a dish that most people think is too pungent to put on a plate. Only the woke would be that stupid. PS- I love kimchee, but would not insult a community by thinking that identifies them.

The team is named the Biscuits. The team in Huntsville is called the Trash Pandas. Minor league baseball team names and events are not something to be taken super seriously. It was probably fun, sponsored by Hyundai, enjoyed by old whites, blacks and Koreans who work at the plant alike.

And by next Friday nobody will remember and they'll have Golden Taco night or something.

The Montgomery Moonies would have been a great promotion too , as far as jerseys sales.

Big Hyundai plant

I do not know how many Koreans that brought to the community. I spent some time at Maxwell, my guess the AF brought in more than Hyundai.
