Luke was a very bad OL coach

I agree on mostly all of this however I think you're letting your feelings on him as a HC make you forget his time as the OL coach. He had 8 lineman drafted including 2 first rounders. Not to mention his O-lines were a major factor for some of the best teams we've had in the 21st century. Head coach? Not good. OL coach? Pretty good

I didn’t say anything about Arkansas being a toss up game homie.

New off season and same shite as last year from a State fan. I said you’d go 8-4 last season and caught all kinds of bull shite because you thought you’d win 10.

You’ve basically bashed every team on your schedule but I need to do more research before I say I don’t think State reaches 8 wins? Narcissist.

Don’t know why you come here if you get a belly ache over someone thinking your team will win 6 or 7 games

If I had to pick two losses for LSU, it would be Bama and Florida. What does State bring this year that will give them a shot this game? I don't seeing them putting up enough points even if the hold LSU to 20.

Jeb, LSU should win the State game. The biggest deal with that one is it’s at home and Ed is still your head coach. Our offense struggled against your defense on the road last year. They struggled a lot against Kentucky in a hostile environment as well. Minus the Florida game, they played much better with fewer penalties at home. The improvement of both teams offenses will be the key, but I expect LSU to win by a TD or so late. Should be an exciting game though. I will be interested to see the “new look” LSU offense that Ed has talked about.

Being a Razorback fan, the Swine have not been the same since Bob Petrino was fired because he wouldn't show the perverted AD we had at the time named Jeff Long pictures of the long legged ex volleyball player named Jessica Dorrell without any panties on. Anyway, I think LSU wins the SEC West thus the SEC and the Hogs improve to 5-7, and the improvement will be noticeable. Within 3 years we'll be back to the 9-3, 10-2 type years and will win the SEC in one of those years.

The way Morris is recruiting I can see you getting to the 5 win mark this year. He has to get his guys in there to get the full rebuild done. I disagree about competing for the west, but he should be able to get you back to 8-9 wins a year.

I truly think the State-LSU will be another defensive slugfest, unless LSU's offense is rolling. LSU has a decent amount more of returning production this year than State, though. I have no clue how your guy's offense will look next year because I don't follow it that closely.

It all depends on the grad transfer qb. I expect him to be at a minimum what Fitz was throwing, but he won’t be the bruiser that Fitz was (although he is a little shiftier). We also just landed an above average grad transfer wide receiver that will be of immediate help. He comes from Kansas State and will also return kicks. State has a chance because it’s at home, but it will be tough. I expect it to be a really tight game until the 4th and LSU to pound it in late to win. We are a bit weaker at DT and a great ground game with a solid defense will be a bad time for us late in the game.

It doesn't take an in depth break down.

MS St. came into last season with the rare expectation of nine wins being the floor. You go 8-4, not really competing with the teams you expected to compete with (Alabama and LSU).

Lose five players to the NFL, four in the first two rounds. Doesn't really matter who you have replacing those guys as only a very few schools legitimately reload, and that even takes time sometimes.

Games at AUB, at TN, at A&M, and LSU and Bama at home I give you less than a 50% chance of winning. Although TN is probably a toss up.

I have no reason to think you automatically beat KY, AR, and OM but 3-0 is likely with 2-1 being possible.

An outside perspective looking in sees you didn't do what you were expected to last season, with players who are now gone to the NFL. MS St. hasn't won more than 8 regular season games since the turn of the millennium, except for one time with a SEC legend at QB.

You say you have "highly recruited" guys stepping in but you also say that's lazy analysis.

What more do you want? MS St. simply hasn't given the on field reasons to think they're better than 8 wins every 3 years or so.

So, no In depth analysis. Thanks. We have won 8 games or more 4 of the past 5 years, 5 of the last 7, and 6 of the last 9. Try again. I also didn’t predict them to win more than 8 or even guarantee that they would win 8. I said if you can’t see why they should then you aren’t paying attention. I can go into specific details on every single player on our roster if you’d like, but I’m sure that would bore you.

Regular season wins, you know, the common metric. I know you didn't say more than 8 but if that's the most you've won since 1999 minus the Dak caveat then why is it crazy to think you win 6 or 7? Because I don't think an in depth analysis of your roster is necessary?

If you think State comes into Knoxville and easily beats Tennessee you’re in for a long season. Not saying Tennessee wins but it won’t be easy

It’s cute when moo state tries to act like they’re one of the big boys

Saying you don’t think an in depth analysis of anyone isn’t necessary is a retarded response. We have a defensive end returning from injury that was starting last year over Gerri Green who was drafted in the 6th round before his injury. We were starting our true freshman 3rd string nickel because of 2 injuries last year and we return both guys ahead of him this year. One will be our best defensive player in the secondary in Brian Cole. We return 2 of the best cornerbacks in the country when you look at advanced pass defense metrics. One didn’t even start last year but platooned and played about as much as a guy that signed with the Colts. We return all 3 starting linebackers off the best unit in the conference from a year ago. We return 6 defensive linemen that played significant minutes last year. We return a defensive end that was starting over Montez Sweat his first year on campus until he was declared academically ineligible. We return 4 offensive linemen that started games last year. We return our best tailback from a year ago. We return every receiver and added Kansas State’s top receiver to that unit. He will also return punts and kickoffs. We got a grad transfer punter who was all sunbelt at South Alabama. That was an extreme weakness for us last year. We return 4 tight ends.

Now, go through Tennessee’s roster for me and explain to me how they are going to be favored against MSU. Tell me about their returning production off a team that just got boatraced by 7 teams including Vanderbilt. Tell me how they are going to be favored. I can’t wait to hear about an offense ranked in the 100s and the defense ranked in the 60s getting so much better.

Thinking we are going to beat Tennessee doesn’t mean you think you’re a big boy. It means you think you don’t have an extremely shitty football team. You know, like Tennessee has on a yearly basis these days.
