Marcus Lattimore by a count hair over Richardson. However, anyone who is delusional enough not to believe that those two are clearly the best two running backs in the SEC are probably the same people who believe a Nigerian prince is going to send them millions of dollars as well.

Color me delusional then, I believe Knile Davis would be the best RB by far in the SEC if he was force fed carries like T-Rich and Latti...

1. Marcus Lattimore
2. Trent Richardson
3. Michael Dyer
4. Knile Davis
5. Brandon Bolden
6. Washaun Ealey
7. Spencer Ware
The pure fact that I have Spencer Ware ranked last says a whole lot about the caliber of running backs in the SEC.

Richardson has slow feet and poor vision. Latty is better and you will see next year. Ingram softened defenses up for Richardson. Bama fans will miss Ingram greatly. He has better home run speed than Latty, but that is it. Latty is equal or better in every aspect besides that.
Dyer is a fraud and without the threat of a running QB on zone read plays or a senior dominant line he is very average. He displayed no great moves or tackle breaking ability. Also showed very little catching out of the backfield.
Knile Davis was productive, but is not the talent or T-Rich or Latty.
Spencer Ware was very impressive, but I need to see more before I can rank him.
Latty slightly over Richardson
Knile Davis
Jeff Demps(UF only playmaker)
Poole
Ealy
Dyer

The Cotton Bowl was the only time I ever saw Spencer Ware the whole season. It definitely made me wonder why he didn't receive more carries earlier in the season.

You may be correct but if your going to create hypertesticals, what if you insert ELacy into your scenario- where does he finish? (Fumbles/yds/tds)

Am I the only one who thinks that Kniles Davis - while a good back - is the product of teams being fearful of Arkansas's passing game?

Well I don't think he's overrated.

He does benefit from the passing game, but the passing game also benefits from his run game.
It's Knile. No s.

You are correct about kniles with arky's passing game he was never keyed upon. He's productive, but not T-Rich or Latty good.
Latty is the best slightyl right now, but expect him to be the hands down best over Richardson by the end of next year.
I thougt Richardson would progress like Ingram did in his soph year, but he didn't.
Ingrams vision and patience impoved ten times from his Fr. to soph yrs. He used to just run into the pile and try to truck people, but with experience he learned to be patient and pick the right holes.
Richardson hasn't learned that yet and I don't think he will. He is great catching out of the backfield, but so is latty.

The passing game was good last season and before he emerged this season.
People really undervalue Lattimore due to his YPC, when in reality, he was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on at least 40% of his runs this year. Our offensive line play was decent at best this year - like it is most years.

T. Rich, Davis, Dyer, and Latti are all studs. Hell, every running back on that list is a stud. The SEC is STACKED at RB and will be for the foreseeable future.
