So much romanticizing and pandering on this board about "playing for the love of the game" and "players only caring about NIL these days," but what if caring about NIL actually makes most college football players play even harder? Vagina and money are the two biggest motivators of men, and every play that a college football player puts on tape these days impacts how much money they may make the following season, whether its at their current school or their next school.

Just a few years ago, if it's November and your team is going nowhere and you know that you already have your starting spot on the team locked up for the next season, what's the real motivation, unless you're Rudy and "playing for the name on the jersey," even though 90-percent of college football players these days are not Rudys and think that Rudy was a retard.

More likely they got payed and don’t play to their potential.

If that's the case, they don't get paid as good the next season.

You don't really think players haven't been getting paid all along do you?

It's all way more transactional and year-to-year now. Way more options. Don't have to sit out an entire year if you transfer, etc.
