Thinking about this again. Say it's last year after the SECCG and Houston doesn't stumble in its last game and ends up as a conference chanp in the top six, no Bama in the playoff; would that have been fair?

Under this proposal, it really wouldn't matter if it was fair or not.. Dem is the rules..

Any proposal that puts a caveat on "4 best" will just result in the BCS continuing to be a joke. The first time even a number five ranked team gets in over a number four ranked team the ratings will drop. People really don't want this to happen.

I say we go to 6 teams..4 highest ranked conference champs and the 2 highest ranked atlarge teams.The two highest ranked conference champs get a bye..3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5.The 2 teams with a bye play a home game or at the major bowl location closest to them..
