Is Stephens anti Bobby? If anti, then who the frick does he want to replace him with?
I've been trying to stay positive and be ready to accept Long's decision.
But it's starting to sound like, even if there are no major legal roadblocks and Long wants to keep him, that some agenda driven assholes are trying to push BP out. This...will get me very angry. I don't want their 'good little buddy' (whoever that is), to be our coach.

Yeah, frick Stephens. All they care about is War Memorial.

can't blame my brother-in-law. he told me at Easter brunch that he would 'never buy another frickin ticket to a Razorback football game if Petrino is fired.'

the "good little buddy," ever lurking in the halls of SEC athletic departments

Heard the exact same thing in a similar circumstance today

It would have to be one fricking amazing hire for me to continue with it. I swear I would adopt Bama. I could just get out a Sharpie and tweak the 'A' a little on my hats.

Can't blame him. In all seriousness, he is the best coach this program has had since Holtz...and u may could argue since Broyles.
I'm really confident in him staying. I had a chat with a larger donor today and he has also been told the large pay hit for this year and contract restructuring.

It'll all be fine as long as nothing crazy new comes out and two people in the athletic department quietly exit stage right (most likely to achieve this an extremely large amount of money will change hands).
Coach puts out a statement apologizing again. Long says coach knows and understands he did A, B, C and is going to do X, Y, Z to resolve these issues.
Throw in a game suspension and we're good, on to the next saga
as an ole miss fan I hope he gets totally fired

We need to a new program for his punishment...The Lonliest and Homeliest.
We get together a search committee to find the lonliest and homeliest girls in Arkansas and Petrino has to service them every month. It would be a morale booster for the state. A rising tide lifts all ships.

Pay hit?
That's what I've been championing since it all broke on Thur.
bump his pay down to $1.75-$2 mil per, and lengthen the buyout on his end to 5 more years of $18mil if he leaves.
This has dramatically altered leverage, if we stick our neck out for him one more time and he bolts, his new boss is gonna have to pay big time for him. He's pretty unhireable at any major university now. He drop his salary back in line to the level of job he could get on the open market and give him some security that we'll stick by him but there's no wiggle room what so ever.

Coach P will be fined $300k.
Dorrell's severance will be $300k.
Seriously, probably not far from the truth.
I have mixed feelings about it all. Fan in me says find a way to keep him. Alumnus in me says "frick that dude who shite on my alma mater."
