Last I checked, Saban is a jerk with a Napoleon complex but, guess what, Bama fans aren't complaining. This is football. All that matters is results and Petrino has AR playing better than it has in decades.

kicking a FG when up 10 with 3 minutes to go isn't running the score up.
it's ensuring the opposing team needs to score at least two TDs to tie and/or beat you.
if you want to call BP a dickhead for anything in that game I would say that having his offense attempt a 50 yard bomb near the end of the first half following a long stop in play due to a KSU player being seriously hurt would more than qualify.
