A person is about 1,000,000,000,000 times more likely to get boo-fooed or killed in Memphis than they are in the Ozarks.

Memphis scares me. The Ozarks, not so much.

Please tell all your friends how awful northwest Arkansas is. Well unless they are prospective recruits or coaches.

Seriously, I like the image we have, keeps the assholes from wanting to move here.

NW Arkansas is more like the Midwest than the South. Not sure why UA is even still in the SEC other than money. The Hogs will pull off some upsets every few years, but for the most part never really will be much of a contender. Good fans and deep pockets, but just not the base or size. Could probably make the jump from middle of the pack SEC to upper echelon Big 12 or Bid 10.
All that said, I live in NW Arkansas and LOVE it!
You couldnt beat me out of these hills now!

You would have a point if football were the only sport; but obviously it's not. We are MORE than competitive in the other men's sports, well basketball is down right now, but we've proven what we can do in the SEC and eventually we'll get there again. And the money is so much more in the SEC that it just makes good business sense, which college athletics is after all, a busineess.

I hate how many yankees have moved to NWA.

Seriously, I was driving my car down 6th street, waved at some person in the turn lane, and they just looked baffled.

Your right, your baseball programs is average to good most years, and your Track is Great. Basketball really hasnt been relevant in nearly 10 years. The football program, which is really the measuring stick, has never won the SEC and has a really embarrassing record in Bowls games.
I like the UA, I just think the School and fans would be better served in a conference where the UA would have a legitimate shot of winning the title from time to time.

I hear ya, back a few months ago, my then pregnant wife had a tire go flat a couple miles from the house. I happened to be out of town at the time so she told me she'd just walk to the neighbors house and ask for a ride home and I could go change the tire later. The neighbor she went to happened to have just moved here last year from California , refused to give her a ride 2 miles to our house. Now ANYONE that had lived here any lenght of time at all would have not given her a ride home, they would have went out there and put her spare on; but not this a-hole, he couldn't be bothered. Yeah, we need more people like that around here.
