You not posting as much or what? I feel like "I are Frediot" flashes across my screen much more infrequently lately.

I am an Alabama alumnus and I'm not the least bit embarrassed.
However, I will add if I knew you in person - I'd be embarrassed at your pathetic attempt to troll and would probably point out that your jealousy sheet is showing.

The offseason finally wore me out. I mostly just post in the Barves game threads and the Politard board. Will be back for football season. Unless we have a bad season obviously.

Uhh...you really can't figure this out?
I live in Gainesville and wear Bama stuff. I hear shite talk. Do I go and generalize an entire population to be 95% sidewalk Gators because they don't like my attire? No.
It's almost like simple math, dude.

The guy was just kidding with him about being an Arkansas fan and he had to make fun of the dude for not being able to go to college.
The 18-24 demographic is a very very spoiled generation who go to college because it is easy to get in and they either have rich parents or there are loans/grants galore available to everyone. 30 years ago most people didn't have the opportunity to go to college and had to start a career at 16 or 18. I think it is really shitty to act like people without college degrees are somehow subpar fans or citizens, especially from the older generations.

Once again, never understood this argument. You have to have gone to a school to be a fan of that Univ. Athletics programs? I am an Alum of UA I love the passion of our fan base. Normally when you have success you will get more fans than those that have always sucked, an example being South Carolina. Why would anyone want to be a fan of USC if you didnt go there? You have accomplished NOTHING to get any other fans other than your alums. Speaking of annoying, you are towards the top with your ridiculous argument.

Well its obvious his thread didn't go the way he thought it would...I know he pictured a few people carrying him out on their shoulders and the crowd cheering..

Far from pretentious...just someone who is tired of dealing with shite talking, redneck Alabama fans who want to trash talk every other University, but have no education themselves
Have you seen your fan base on the Rant?

I'd say a good 95% from personal experience. Between my time living in New Orleans and Mobile, AL, I've met TONS of Alabama fans. Of course, none of them nor their immediate family members have any affiliation with the University. As a matter of fact, I don't know if 10% of the people I've met in Mobile have even gone to ANY type of college/university.
So they have to tell you they attended Bama. If not then you can say that for a lot of flagship schools.

Didn't read the thread, but here are my two cents on the topic at hand.
1) UA has experienced a great deal of success on the gridiron going back many years.
2) The state of Alabama has no professional football teams.
3) If one were to go to Birmingham (which is analogus to your New Orleans example) you would find a great deal of UA graduates.
4) If one were to go to half a state away from Columbia (which is analogus to your Mobile example) you would find a great deal of USCe "sidewalkers".
5) You're butthurt.
6) Steve Spurrier of UF =/= Steve Spurrier of USCe.
With that said, I'm off to organize my UA hat collection and research defoliant in anticipation of the upcoming season.

They forget how much those sidewalk fans pump money into the booster clubs to help build stadium expansion, nice facilities, etc. That's why some schools booster support are waaaaaaaay better than others, which in turn field better teams that compete for national titles.
I'm sure if we did a study of schools with the most sidewalk fans also have the most booster support and most money donated to their Athletic Dept.

Maybe the HS grad shouldnt run his mouth about something he/she know mothing about.
If the HS grad can dish out jokes, he should be able to take one too.

I've never understood why someone would take pride in their school having a small/alumni-only fanbase. It is a result of the program being forgettable and irrelevant throughout history.

Exactly! Which is why Bama and LSU are where we are today and why South Carolina is still and always will be a nobody.

I'd say Alabama is 2nd only to Notre Dame in the number of fans that never had the chance to attend the University, but show allegiance to the team.
