How does AU moving to the East positively benefit the entire SEC?
1. It provides some parity within the league.
2. It gives the league a chance to have some better matchups in the regular season.
3. It allows Missouri to develop some geographical rivals, and allows the fans a chance to follow them on the road.

This is sad and shameful. Instead of firing Malzhan and hiring a real coach, you'd rather hang by the words of a drunk ex-coach and run from your life long rival? Just cut the horse shite and move to the fricking Sun Belt
You're in for a rude awakening the day Saban retires.

Alabama won more games and more SEC titles before Saban and will after Saban.
UGA and UF will be the more consistent winners in the East, too, so Auburn wouldn't be gaining much.

Except gaining back our traditional rivals...like literally every Auburn has poster has said is the reason for moving.

I see no problem with it. I think it actually makes sense, with Missouri going to the West division.

Good ole Pat sent the bahr off as a loser and still trolling the tahd.
Am I doing it right?

Hey Gary Busey: This is an example. Rolling the trees at Toomer's Corner when Bryant died is another example.
Wartiger: You revere a guy that got Auburn on ncaa probation.

Only Harvey Updyde and Redneck loser Bammers believe that. Which one are you ?

I had a friend that was in Auburn for business. He saw it himself. Your own comments, exhibiting lack of respect for the deceased, is indicative of the same frame of mind. And you talk about rednecks?...

AU did not roll Toomers when the Bear died. I was in school during that time and it didn't happen, your friend lied. It was a very cold day and very few people were even out except to go to class. Another Bammer Myth.

I don't blame you for denying it, as it showed an extreme lack of class. Explain away this one...

May have already been mentioned, but an SEC championship between Auburn and Bama would be pretty interesting. Would set up an ultimate melt for one fan base.

I always try to put down lies from idiots. Living among Bammers, it has become a full time job. It didn't happen and it was started by a few inbreeds who use it to try to justify their actions (ie Updyke).

As the flagship programs at The University of Florida and The University of Georgia will probably rule the East for the foreseeable future, it isn't likely to happen very much.

You haven't yet been able to so explain away this one. I'm still waiting for that....

It simply didn't happen, your friend (if he actually exists) is prevaricating. In fact, I don't recall any AU fan or alumni rejoicing over Bryant's death. He wasn't ever going to coach against us again, and we'd beaten him the last chance we had, so his demise didn't bring us any satisfaction (except in the eyes of delusionally self-important sidewalk Tidesters like you and your imaginary friend).
AU did not roll Toomers when the Bear died.
What is largely overlooked is that the whole Toomer's Corner thing wasn't really that big of a deal back in the '80s. It was almost exclusively a student thing, mostly done by frat guys, and generally an afterthought most of the time, unless it was a significant victory. Traffic on gameday was a huge hassle, and most fans avoided Toomer's completely after the games were over.
I think the '89 Iron Bowl was when the ritual really took off. Personally I think it's kind of juvenile - I wish it went back to a students-only thing.

Based on what? Auburn is 5-1 vs. UF since Spurrier. We've clearly had trouble with UGA, but they have found a lot of ways not to get to Atlanta. UT won't be down forever.

Too logical, F Bama they need us more than we need them. FACT.

As noted, I don't blame Auburn fans for denying it happened, but it did. If there weren't photo evidence of things like this (and this isn't the only one), you'd deny it too...

By the time of Bryant's death, he was a shell of himself. A lot of AU fans had empathy for him and even felt sorry for how it ended. Just a few weeks before we saw how IB ended with a young Dye embracing him at midfield after the game. Then we saw the Liberty Bowl and how his career ended in that frozen hell. Nobody celebrated his death and some recognized an end of an era, even if it had ended poorly for him and the program. The hatred today might have resulted in a different reaction, but again it didn't happen in 83.
