He really needs to learn the system 1st. He seems fairly book smart so I am giessing he will learn quick but not know the entire playbook to run the offense in the next 25 days! IMO he will split time with Caudle(sp?) until he either learns the system and/or beats him outright. It does bring interest to the OM program.

who the hell is that?
....and Oregon runs a Zone-read option. The WildRebel is, by definition, a zone-read option. It won't take him near as much time to learn enough to be about to contribute as many people think.

Must just be an absolutely terrible misspelling of Nathan Stanley.

at least someone else didn't know who he was, for a min there i thought i was terribly uninformed about something

Wait. You guys haven't heard of Caudle? Kid is a beast. Going to be All-SEC

My bad I was guessing the Cotton kid. I havent heard much on the QB situation at Ole Miss except for Masoli and the departed Snead.

Cotton left the team, turns out he was a bitch

I know where I was confused. Caudle is the QB at AU and Newton is replacing him as the potential starter there. Sorry about that fellas!

Dingdingding
So far at the first 2 days of fall camp it is obvious that they are pretty much preparing 2 different passing games. One for Stanley with a little Mackey sprinkled in, more pro-style drops, and one for Masoli and Mackey with veer option, zone read, wildcat, sprint outs and bootlegs.
For Masoli to come in and make an impact he just needs reps and trust me, he is getting those. He will not be asked to run the entire offense or "learn the entire playbook in X days". he will be asked to play his game and our coaches are going to put him in situations to do that.
I will say that he was heating up today in practice. Threw the ball really well, especially on 3 or 4 in particular where the ball was absolutely perfect. Really seems to be getting along great with his teammates too. Him and Ja-mes seem to be boys

Had a class with him over the summer. Definitely has some Swagg.

This is a really good situation though for OM's younger QB's to develop while Masoli can show them some on the field leadership.

Regardless of who starts, Nutt is taking some level of risk by bringing him in and Nutt knows that Missoli gives them a better chance to win than stanley.
I still dont think Ole Miss is a contender this year.

Definitely. Stanley's still trying to get his feet wet with no meaningful snaps other than a few in the Cotton Bowl but he didn't look very good at all in that game.
We're hoping for exactly what you just posted.

Well.....yeah. We all know that already.

And neither do we. But we do think that he'll make us a team that can compete with just about anyone.

i think at best, he could possibly be the difference in the outcome of 2 games. But if that were to come true that could be huge
