Who is likely to pick Tyler? Any solid bets right now?

I have no idea tbh. don't follow draft stuff too much. obviously most of the state's cowboys fans are hoping he goes to Dallas.
Sounds like Jerry is making a commitment to mediocrity for another 6 years though.

I listened to SVP show about Romo contract. Unfriggin believable. Not a Dallas fan, but seriously....Romo? Tyler is a leader and tough as nails. Won't know if he has talent for NFL till he gets a shot, but why not try unless, as you say, barely making the playoffs only to lose is your goal.

Hopefully BB brings more toughness. In interviews he seems frustrated because our current roster has a lot of finesse guys that would have never seen the bench for him at Wisconsin.
I wouldn't doubt this at all.
And, I don't think it was so much that Petrino hated to see the D beat the O, as much as it was Petrino has a quality of O that he is used to running and producing and was willing to use as many scholarships on O to produce the skill position players as it took to get able WR's to be in position for his QB's. But, this is just an outsider's opinion.

I don't even like Dallas but it would be cool if he ended up there. I just wanna see him play. Mallett is obviously stuck behind Brady for a while. Tyler isn't one of these electric running dual threat QB rookies but it would be cool if he got a shot to take command of a team. I guess I'd like to see him go somewhere that he's in the mix but not a total shitehole.
After experiencing a depressing year on the Hill here he deserves a good NFL franchise.

Well, I don't know how to say this without it sounding like a hack, but the one upside is he probably learned to get rid of the ball a lot quicker.

I'm not expecting too much for BB's first season. Next year's schedule is too brutal and we lose a lot of our leadership from the past. Also, like I said, the personnel isn't where Bielema needs it to do what he does best(big linemen, strong running, fundamental play, not beating ourself). I'm most excited to see what Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams get to do. I kinda miss the running game from Hootie's Dmac Felix teams. Will be nice to see a team not just pass all day.

no shite. that Oline was a disgrace. Arkansas usually has good olines so this year was disappointing. letting your QB get knocked out of 1 and a half games by ULM is inexcusable.

Yeah. Regardless of next year's schedule, in order for BB's value to be on full display, he will have to have the numbers he wants at all his most important positions.
I look at Arkansas now, like I did with Florida and Muschamp 2 years ago. I felt like they got a good Coach, who came into a program with a roster that just wasn't built the way his team's play.
Give BB time, and he will build the roster the way he knows it should be built in order to run the style of football that his DNA exudes. And, IMO, that is successful football.
The only thing I worry about, and I could be perceptively inaccurate with this, is that I see him as sort of a Rex Ryan with the NYJ. Extremely confident, but not enough traveled to know what kind of fight he is getting into when he runs his mouth.
BB's entire aura since he got to Fayettenam, is eerily similar to Ryan's first couple of years with the Jets.

This has been a good no BS thread. (except for that one bama guy)
I'm not worried about the football program. It will be fun to watch in a couple years when things get rolling.
I wish Bielema would cool it a little with the social media stuff. I laughed at the "i'm not a a motorcycle" comment yesterday but really it's not professional. I like that he more personable than Petrino though. I have a friend that works at Blessings Golf Course (private, very expensive club used by UA men's golf) that sees Bielema come in pretty often and outdrink anyone he's ever seen. Must be something about that Wisconsin and Iowa background. And that's saying something cause my friend can knock down a few himself. Bielema seems like a cool guy. Should just stay off Twitter and stick to coaching.

His rampage was so out of nowhere. I loved how he quoted my sig. Maybe that's what set him off?

Probably, there's a tremendous insecurity amongst the warm-fuzzies since that's what it's about. I doubt UA fans are too worried, Saban is doing the deal and CBB has to prove himself.

yep. 2Beez doesn't let the haters get to him.

I really dont get the hype with Vaccarro
Best of an average safety class, most complete of them in terms of coverage and tackling. Not much flash to him though, more of a lower floor pick than high upside.

Only took 13 replies for someone to shite all over a decent thread. SECr you're getting better. One day at a time.

These are, in fact, rare. It's a joy to get to enjoy a discussion of SEC Football in a thread these days.

Despite the future trolling, everyone does.

When most LSU fans told y'all how insufferable of a douche Petrino was, while in fact, some of it was trolling, genuinely, I think we all hated the fact that we couldn't just discuss how much a dickface Petrino was. It got to the point where neither fanbase could give BP the Coaching props deserved for his innovative-ness and ability to prepare a team, without one side blindly defending his team, or the other side incessantly trashing his douchebagery.
Not that it should matter y'all anyway though.

These are the kinds of anecdotes I treasure in the SEC.

Yep from what i've heard Bret's this really laid back guy. As far as football goes he likes tough football and is a serious leader. Petrino was just a dick in coaching and out of it. Seemed kind of annoyed at fan events and stuff when I saw him. Knew his offense though(obviously).

I wonder if with people like Petrino if it's a cause and effect type of thing that guides their personalities and work habits?
Petrino was obviously everything we feared he'd be, but could never admit. I'm curious if folks that don't do well in public settings like fan events, or press conferences and just seem putoffish by having to stoop to mingle and gladhand, be it from social anxiety or general hatred of people, if this manifests itself into 100% commitment and mastery of a craft/art/profession/hobby etc. Or does the incredible focus on the craft/art/profession/hobby withdraw all social skills and ability to have interest in anything other than what they're amazing at.
