Let's look at Georgia's first 4 games from last year vs Tennessee's this year:

UGA 2023
UT Martin
Ball State
South Carolina
UAB

UT 2024
Chattanooga
#24 NC State
Kent State
#15 Oklahoma (current rating)

So, the only difference is that Tennessee's first 4 games had 2 teams that were in the top 25 at that time.

yes, UGA's first 3 games (and first 4 games) were weak last year.

I think Tennessee's is fine. Not exceptional, but fine. NCSU isn't ranked anymore, but they don't suck.

This year, UGA's early schedule is pretty good. The first 10 games has 9 major conference opponents and 5 teams currently ranked in the polls (4 in the top 10).

Last year it was back loaded. UGA played 3 of their first 4 games against cupcakes and didn't play a team that finished ranked until week 9. But they did play 4 top 10 teams and 5 ranked teams in their last 6 games. The 6th was GT who was a bowl team.

I think they're pretty damn good. I'm glad we aren't playing them....
