The only thing that bothered me was the fact that THESE students were in elementary school when Saban left.

It wasn't Saban leaving that rubbed LSU fans the wrong way, it was him coming back to the SEC West. Saban started at bama in 2008 right? That means most of the current student were in high school, which, if their families were LSU fans, they were very aware what had happened.

He doesn't care. Really. It is not personal to him, and this is a classless chant. But at least they stayed pasted halftime.

Anyone not named Nick Saban who was offended by this is a bleeding vagina. Only people worse are those who apologize for it.

There are so many people ITT that believe most of those 102,000 fans and more care what others think.

Online message boards are hilarious

Saban came to Alabama in January 2007.

So current students were between 11 and 14 years old, so most were somewhere from 6th and 9th grade.

Still too young to have strong enough feelings to chant that 7 1/2 years later.

Didn't offend my sensibilities but like I said, seemed kind of silly.

What made that chant so hilariously pathetic is the fact that those students so pissy about Saban were 8 or 9 years old the last time Saban wore an LSU shirt. It might be time to move on. Clearly LSU fans have not. Must be tough seeing Saban win 3 national titles at your rival school since Miles won his 1 fluke in a decade of trying to follow Saban. .

Imagine you are a kid that age on Christmas Day in 2004. You wake up on the most wonderful day of the year and open presents with your family. Everyone is happy, everything is perfect.
Then you find out the beloved coach of your favorite team has decided to leave on his own accord.
You are crushed. There is nothing you can do. Christmas is ruined. Forever.

Hence the "frick you Saban" chant.
