Mississippi lost alot from a shitty defense last season- lots of newbies starting vs a pretty good QB

Brunetti transferred to Oxford because that was the only place he could get playing time- I wouldnt expect alot from him

Mississippi has Nix and Nutts

BYU takes this one by 10

Most years, I'd pick Ole Miss or whichever conference cellar dweller was playing a non-Big Six opponent, but BYU pretty well plays to every weakness on the Ole Miss roster.

Throw in that you have such ability at quarterback that you have to call non-catches catches, to demonstrate progress in your passing game.....

It's going to be a long day for Ole Miss, barring weather help or turnovers.

Nutt loses to the Mormon's late in the game with some dumb arse panic offensive call..

There will be more action in the Grove than on the field...Black Bears lose by 7

Well since Brewer is passing game cordinator, Markuson is running game coordinator and Lee is Offensive Cordinator and I've heard it personally from player's mouths, yea I believe that.

Houston Nutt has yet to call a play in any scrimmage or practice in 2011. David Lee has called EVERY play since he's stepped on campus.

That isn't saying Nutt isn't involved in offensive play calling. Lee and Nutt set up a game plan and Nutt trusts Lee to stick to it.

Sorry to disappoint your flaming assumptions.....but Nutt isn't calling the plays.

I'll freely admit that Nutt tends to over-control the offense during games in the past(particularly last year).

Most Arky fans like to laugh at Nutt hiring Lee as his OC because "he's one of his own kronies. I never exactly saw that as a bad thing. I saw this as Nutt knows Lee enough to stick to Nutt's gameplan to give up play calling duties.

ETA: and I wasn't talking particularly about you. You just happened to be the last poster in the thread.

Nutt only calls the successful plays.
