The picture that the UGA fans are painting of Tech fans is not at all what I have experienced. I work on GA Tech's campus, so I meet quite a few of them.

Well...yeah, I suspect your views are a little different.

Like I said, I've lived in Atlanta for a quarter century. To paint the GT fanbase as rabid and imposing is ridiculous. Outside of a 5 mile radius of the campus, you're more likely to find a Georgia Southern fan. The Brookwood/Parkview high school rivalry is more rabid and intense.

You can hate on them for being nerds if you want, but they are and always will be smarter than you.

No doubt about that...but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to be smarter than me!

The thing that irritates me the most about them, is if you try to talk sanely about football with them, they want to pull out the , we are smarter than you..or we have a better school. And all the while I THOUGHT we were talking about football. Go figure.

Just like Parkjas...."You will work for a Georgia Tech grad." Ok...so are we comparing academics or are we on a football board? No offense, Park...but your past Tech days were showing up.

I like that you know how to be self-deprecating, but you dont have to call yourself a "GT fan douche", it's just redundant.

frickin' commas...how do they work?

Hear much more talk about the UGA/UF rivalry than UGA/GT.

This is true. I really don't mind Tech at all. However, if they can get a good football team and beat us, then that might change. They actually do pretty well, considering the academic restraints they put on their football team. But, they have been known to slide a less than stellar scholar/athlete in there from time to time.

Fair enough, I'm down with discussing every subject.

Here is a fun Georgia Tech subject:

During this millenium, Georgia Tech has been placed on probation more times than they have defeated UGA in football.

They're out there. They are a bit discouraged with the way their team is doing right now, so they are quieter. The true fans they have are VERY rabid, though. Their fans are small in number, but the ones they have LOVE their team. Hats off to them for that. They just need more fans, and they have to be more successful to do that.

Tech has not been on probation three times.

Ha, fair enough. Promise I'm not a grammar nazi, but come on, calling yourself a GT fan douche is irresistible for a Dawg fan to pass up.

Nice shot! And accurate! I hope we can win one, too!

Whoops. I am not new, just started posting. And you didn't make me mad...you just rubbed me the wrong way. You, on the other hand, were calling names...so it would appear YOU were the one that needs thicker skin.

You boss is a Saints fan? I guess you can always give him a paper bag for Christmas.

I side with the view that the new millenium started in 2001 (since there wasn't a "year zero"). The majority of scholars buy into that as well.

So therefore Tech has 1 win over UGA and 2 probations this millenium
