Btw, I think this rivalry is one of the more underrated in the country as far as hatred is concerned. Go to a UGA/gt game in Atlanta one time and you'll see why they're our #1 rival, and always will be.

Yea, but I went to UGA and not GT. Therefore for the sake of this thread, all tech grads are nerds that work for people from UGA. Just work with me here..

But the handful that do would trade their right arm if it meant beating UGA and seeing bad things happen to our school, city, team, players, coach, and fans. Tech fans would rather see UGA fail than their own team succeed.

GT is simply a smaller school and therefore has a smaller fan and alumni base. There is also a large portion of the student and alumni base that have no interest in athletics so that makes the number of Tech fans seem even smaller.

I've seen it. All you have to do is peruse stingtalk for a few minutes. And if you want IRL examples too, I can't tell you the number of tech fans that were pissed even while they were playing for the ACC title, simply because a mediocre UGA team beat their best team in a decade. I bet most tech fans would've rather not won the division that year if it meant beating UGA.
