I'd be more concerned for the team the Bucks play in the Bowl game. That may end up being a massacre. Stanford last year, left out of playoff. Crushed Iowa in Rose Bowl.

I can't believe that we're even debating if Ohio State will get in. They lost one game on the road by a field goal. Penn State lost by five touchdowns and some change against a team that Ohio State beat, and also lost to a team that's 8–4. And if not Ohio State, then PSU would be shoving Washington out of their slot. Washington lost one game to a 9–3 team.

I don't care if they're the conference champions. Stanford was the conference champion last year, and I don't remember any of this talk about them getting in over Oklahoma, even though Oklahoma didn't have to play a conference CG. Because Stanford had two losses and didn't deserve a spot. You can only shite the bed so many times before the stain sets. Next year, take care of business against the woefully sub-par teams and the issue will iron itself out.

How about doctors for the o-line, skill positions, cheerleaders the band and the mascot?

Penn St. beat OSU head to head and won the Big 10 Championship which in my mind is more important than one extra loss.

That 8-4 team beat Clemson as well. And Ohio State was given that game against Michigan. Ohio State should have two losses if not for poor officiating and Penn State beat them straight up AND won their conference championship. Penn State would beat Ohio State again if they played. Penn State is the better football team.

They still lost four games. Just like Penn State still lost two games. Arkansas lost to quite a few teams we were better than in 2015. We still ended the year 8–5 because we didn't take care of business. Two-loss teams don't belong in the playoffs unless there is an unusually high number of two-loss conference champions. Statements like "Penn State would beat Ohio State again if they played" make it hard to have credible conversations about this, because Ohio State is an excellent and dangerous football team and that assertion shouldn't be made so confidently as if it's common knowledge. It's pure conjecture and speculation, and the skill gap between the two teams is too close to call it.

But one of them has one loss and the other has two. That's a concrete fact.

Edit: I just noticed you're an Alabama fan. Are you seriously disagreeing with me on my stance that a one-loss team that didn't win it's conference deserves to play in the playoffs? Please tell me you're just playing devil's advocate and you don't actually believe Penn State needs to be in over Ohio State. Because that's irony that you'd need a chainsaw to cut.
