Ive been to every sec town but college station, columbia, mo and fayetteville
Nashville- not a college town but its an amazing city. I grew up here though so Im biased.
Auburn- its boring and not much to do. Ive always had a good time there though, but thats because my sister goes there and i had some high school friends that went there
Tuscaloosa- other than the strip, ttown as a whole= the suck. that said Ive always had a lot of fun there and the strip is one of my favorite sec areas.
Oxford- love everything about it. I stayed off the square last year for the game and had a blast. Ole Miss people were really nice to my group too.
Athens- awesome town other than walking up all those hills. UGA has the best looking girls in the sec IMO.
columbia, sc- i dont remember it much since I only went when I toured USC in high school but it seemed really cool.
baton rouge- lots to do here and its a fun town, but everything is so spread out, which really sucks.
knoxville- awful town, awful campus. its a cess pool. i feel so bad for everyone that grows up in tennessee and never looks anywhere else for college. theres so many better places out there. Im glad I was one of the lucky ones that got to branch out.
gainesville- i thought it wasnt nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I liked how a lot of bars were located across from the stadium and then a little farther down the road downtown. Terrible drinking rules on campus for gameday though.
lexington- it's meh. not bad, not good.
starkville- if it didnt have the cotton district it would be one of the most miserable places ive ever been in my life. State has awesome fans though.

Forgot Nashville... Obviously #1 in terms of nightlife
As for north gate it's undergoing a renovation into a 4 block walking mall that goes back 3 blocks... 30-35 bars and no car traffic. But north gate isn't the only place to o in B/CS... Tap area, downtown Bryan, fox area

I really doubt it has more than Lexington, either.
Lexington is a city of 400,000. CS has 100,000.

I've been to Lexington... CS has a more concentrated area of bars and more IMO but I admit I only went to a handful of bars there in 2007

Overall, it's pretty spread out, but that happens with a large town. But there are probably 40 bars downtown alone. Of course some of them aren't worth a shite, but that happens everywhere.

I don't think the major metro areas should apply on this thread.
That would include Nashville and Knoxville. Lexington and BR are borderline.

My bad. Was that a "U mad" pic? Because I don't remember there being any text.

Is Knoxville that big? I agree though, comparing BR to College Station was completely different. There's a big difference between places like College Station, Oxford and Starkville to places like BR and Lexington, even if they're smaller cities.

BR has a metropolitan area of 800,000+
It's not a college town and shouldn't even be compared to any.

Its the third largest metro area in Tennessee and has a pretty distinct downtown area. 180,000 residents in the city proper. Its definitely not what I would consider a "college town."

BR at 230,000. Not even borderline. My bad.
