From UF website: "Popular campus folklore about Thomas Hall includes the legend of “Old Steve," a ghost that haunts Murphree Area. “Old Steve” was the head cook on campus in 1906, and his cacophonous luncheon preparations often included shouting and cursing at his kitchen crew, banging of pots and pans, hissing of steam and the crackling of fire."
If anybody graduates from UF a virgin, a brick will fall from Century Tower. The tower appears to be perfectly intact.
The song "American Girl" by Tom Petty is about a girl who committed suicide from Beaty Towers. Petty has debunked this myth.
There is a Tom Petty tree on campus (an Ogeechee lime). Tom Petty planted it when he was a member of the grounds crew at UF. Only a handful of faculty know the exact location of the tree.

On every full moon, a glory hole appears in the wall of the men's restrooms in the Colvard student unions, some say it's due to an old ancient civil war field hospital Indian burial ground that the union was built upon.

There is a legend that says that any Arkansas freshman that steps on the year of 1900 of our Senior Walk(sidewalk with names of every graduate from our school) will die an untimely death. Supposed to have something to do with the rumor that 1900 graduates all died strange bizarre deaths.
This is what it looks like.
Those graduates didn't die early, tragic deaths and students almost never walk on this sidewalk during class days.

So it's safe to walk there on the weekends and on holidays? That's one perceptive sidewalk.
