Florida and LSU, IMO, have had defenses as good or better than some of Bama's recently, just not the offense to back it up.
People don't realize how much having an offense that can consistently move the ball and chunks off the clock helps out a defense statistically.

Weak Schedule and recent track record are the only reasons to put them there. I happen to think Bama will finish 3rd in the West but having them in the playoff isn't unreasonable.
