EVERY PLAY IS REVIEWED BY THE BOOTH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL...
That wasn't true the first time you posted it!

The officials on the field see the play in real time from their position on the field. The Replay officials and TV audience see the game from many different angles, replayed at various speeds.
The Replay official is the one who reviews every play of the game and he may stop the game "if there is 'reasonable' evidence to believe an error was made...on the field." (NCAA Football Rule 12-5-1)
By rule, "NO game official [Referee, Umpire, Head Linesman, Line Judge, Back Judge, Field Judge or Side Judge] may request the game be stopped and a play reviewed." (Rule 12-5-2(b))
The Field officials are not a part of the review process. The Referee confers with the Replay official. Only the Replay official can reverse the on field call if there is "indisputable video evidence through ...the replay provided". (Rule 12-7-1) The Referee merely announces the findings of the Replay official, he does not influence or opine.

yeah, we know the rule.
we also know they do a shite job of reviewing it. hence the discussion about how to fix it

well he sure enough let it ride as the other officials did.

i can 8 table 25NL too, but it doesnt mean i am paying proper attention to each table
i literally have no clue what this mean but can you pause, rewind, and slo-mo a play on it? because they can.....and you can properly pay attention to them. It's very simple, really....You rule out the angles that obviously won't show anything and then pay attention to the rest.
It's a very simple process really.....much easier than stopping play 2 minutes anytime there's a close play.
And there are so many holes in the idea of stopping play anytime there's a close play. What about blow out games? Are you going to stop play in a 55-12 game late in the 4th? If not, what exactly constitutes when plays should and should not be played? What score difference and time remaining should the rule state?
People already bitch about play stoppage as it is because it kills momentum and the rhythm of the game. I'm not going to say your suggestion is stupid.....but I will say that it isn't well thought out. Especially considering what I've told you already about what's being done now.
And I realize that you aren't the OP.......though that's neither here nor there.

well....yes. Hell, I can rewind and watch a play on my DVR before the next play starts and that's not even my job.

you could do a proper review in the time the player (offensive if he think he scored, defensive if he stuck him and kept him out of the endzone) does their dumbass celebration dance

you said 4 angles, with rewinding and freeze framing, in 15 seconds.
you dont even believe that

also realize that they don't have to watch the play from beginning to end. Just the part they think could be questionable. It doesn't take very long to watch 3-5 seconds of action.

No it never was true. First the game would be stop more often, they need time to review plays. Hurry up offenses don't give time to review plays.
Second I know a SEC offical. They don't "review evey play"
Posted on 9/11/11 at 9:20 pm to jcole4lsu
For fricks sake, the reviewer watched it, saw what he needed to and decided a timeout was not needed and he was correct. Why is this a fight??

You got me......
Every play where time ALLOWS. They had plenty of time to review that play.
You guys realize that they purposely put in place rules that prevent the game from being stopped too frequently? Don't we annually bitch about their being too many commercials on CBS games as it is? WTF do you think would happen if they stopped every close play?

so you completely ignored the words "split-screen" in one of my posts?
.....figures. All angles move simultaneously

for fricks sake we are talking about only plays involving the ball crossing the endzone, not every damn play.
why is it so hard to get scoring plays right?
