it just depends on how long the elevator at Florida Field holds up, but someone did point out they have medflight on standby, so he shouldn't have too many problems getting to the depressed box

You try way too hard to be clever. And still suck at it.

My only explanation is he truly enjoyed his days at ND and prefers college to NFL at this point in his career.

this. And he wants to be a college HC and thinks this is the easiest way to do that.

Is there still a chance that he is just bargaining with the Chiefs?

nope. He is done there. They fired him.

Charlie Weis' daughter has autism, and many people/articles are starting to say that this is playing a big factor in his decision to go back to the college level. I guess Gainesville is an area they can come to and relax for a few years because it's very laid back. I think he's here 2-4 years and moves on.

well cheers to him for doing what's right for his fam.

Pretty clearly he is working for an offensive head coach right now and probably has his hands tied some. With Muschamp at Florida he would be given complete free reign under a defensive head coach much like Gus has at Auburn. For these guys and their egos that is a big deal.

Which is 100% the reason he's making this move.

I wouldn't go that far.

I think it's down to 3 reasons:

1. less stressful

2. his daughter: apparently his daughter has autism and it's tough on his family obviously and a chance to live in Fla. and relax and not spend as much time with football is important.

3. He wants to be a college HC again. (pure speculation on my part.)
