Arizona St, Cal, Oregon St, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington
That's 7 teams that I still identify as Pac 12 in my mind.
And looking, only 2 of the former Pac 12 made the NCAA this year, Arizona and UCLA. And Cal decided to go to the NIT this year, the only former member.
Sports have died on the West Coast.

Are you always this dense? No coach is going to play with 7-8 players, And it would make any program look bad to future recruits seeing half the team not playing.
Did you know most teams ask their players if they want to go and then based on results accept or decline. Going with half your team sends the wrong signal about your program for a meaningless tournament.
