Yea, we went there, too. She said that little shitty beach around the corner is always packed with people from cruises. I'm not sure I would really consider it a "beach" per se.

Beaches on Key West are non existant. I know which one you're talking about. Bunch of trees and about 12 feet of pebbly, shelly shitty beach to the water.

I was going to say I typically equate Key West to fishing and drinking. Not going to the beach (for that exact reason).

Apparently the people that live there are getting pissed off about people getting off the ships walking around in bathing suits and nothing else, because the cruise director made several announcements saying that it was not a beach stop.
