Huh. Winning is "failing" in the minds of Arka..er, Oregon fans? That may go a long way toward explaining their past performances against good SEC teams
More precisely, failing to dominate, and failing to find an 'answer' for that team defensively. It their offense hadn't over-performed, that game would have been a loss for them. So yeah, their defense failed big time.

Every title contender most every year has a close
Game. Look it up counselor. The object is to win
Them all. Oregon played 2 sec teams for the marbles.
How did that work out again? Oh yeah

Can't argue that. Seems everyone that mattered
Thought these were the best 2 teams regardless
Of 1st slobberknocker. No fan in their right mind would
Complain if their 1 loss team got a 2nd chance though.
Expect saturdays game to be no different than the others.

I love how you guys conveniently forget that Tennessee is an SEC team. Yeah, that team that beat South Carolina. That team. We gave them an arse kicking they will never forget, ever, even a thousand years from now. Their worst loss since 1910. Bring it on homer.

Auburn game was very very close frick, it was tied with like 2 minutes to go.. and the LSU game was closer than the scoreboard showed.

One of very few SEC fans that'll admit this.

Two possession game early in the 4th quarter, middle of the 4th quarter, and late 4th quarter. Against a scary offense. LSU only had 273 total yards of offense. 4 turnovers, nearly 100 yards in penalties for Oregon, and LSUs extremely good special teams won that game for us.

I felt like it could have gone either way.. and I'm glad that we didn't have to play them again in 2011. They were very good.

So is Oregon the champions of moral victories? The "We played you close, you didn't beat us that bad" argument looks good on you

It worked for Alabama in 2011.

His record would indicate he does pretty good with one week to prepare.

You mean the Tennessee team with a 4-5 record. THAT makes you proud and confident?

I guess that's pretty good for a Pac 12 team, though! Congrats on beating Tennessee.

Never quite understood how a game is closer than the scoreboard shows.

Not to mention, Oregon added a TD with 13 seconds left to make it only a 13 point win.
