That play was a very high percentage play for the out. It's basically stealing home. Stay on 3rd base, save the out and live to fight another day.

More like Taryne Mowatt. She threw about a thousand innings that year in the world series when Arizona won, and the same thing the next world series. Everybody's going for pitching staffs now in softball instead of riding an ace.

LSU's issue isn't pitching. When Carley is on, she can dominate. I'm pretty sure that Beth doubles as pitching coach since she was an award-winning pitcher in her own right at Florida. The errors we committed allowed OU to blow the game open. Auburn's pitching isn't that great, but they play solid defense and can really hit the ball.

Stupid pitch call I think on that 3 run homer after getting Knighten out. No sense in going with a changeup. Lexi pitched a great game. I prefer when pitchers and catchers call their own pitches. They only get 10 seconds, so they're forced to throw whatever their coach says whether they like it or not.
