I'm the definition of a never trumper, but believing the media has ginned the common cold into a Pandemic to hurt trumps reelection bid is one serious tinfoil hat scenario.
trump botched the start of this for us because its his nature to not believe science and facts. That's why he thought he could nuke a hurricane and rake the forest floors to stop wildfires out west. His statements tonight will be robotic because they won't be in line with his actual thoughts.
Pence deserves credit for his role in this...he's seemed presidential.
EDIT: Credit where credit is due the economic suggestions, as well as, the ban on non medical related nursing home visits and travel restrictions were on point in tPOTUS speech tonight.

Death Rate For COVID-19 Cases In China Over about a two-month period, the fatality rate has dropped sharply.
Before Dec 31%: 14% mortality rate.
Jan 1-10: 16%
Jan 11-20: 6%
Jan 21-31: 2%
Feb 1-11: 1%
Steady decline.
They are now telling people where it started to go back to work. It wasn't after 500k people died or anything close to that.

If you're right and I'm obviously wrong, then the 1st move to make Nationwide is to shut down all Elevators Nationwide
Elevators represent a closed in space where very little fresh air circulates
And since you are obviously correct and I'm wrong then shut down every elevator in the USA with the exception of those that are wheelchair bound
Since this pandemic is so extreme we have to do everything to stop the spread of this thing

Clean Elevators stand no chance when you have humans in close proximity in a closed in space, clean Elevators won't make people more safe
Open and airy stairwells will where people are constantly moving and not in close proximity in a closed in space

Most things become political. I thought Obama botched ISIS...W botched Katrina...Clinton botched Bin Laden. I'm equally critical of poor leadership.
People who believe this virus was created to hurt Trump ignore that Trump gets in his own way a lot. He simply could have taken the advice of the health professionals and kept going back to them. Nobody expects a POTUS to know how to handle a Pandemic, but we should expect them to listen to the experts.

It's been a common tactic when this administration faces issues to cast doubt on the concern by suggesting its a ploy to hurt the economy. Mueller, Impeachment, Pandemic, etc...unfortunately the economy is reacting to what is actually happening.
