As long as they don't start cancelling college baseball games or closing down bars then I'll be fine. Once that happens then I be pissed.

Mortality rate for the flu is nowhere near 2%. It's more like .1%.

The corona virus mortality rate is projected at 1%.

Baseball is played outside for the most part and alcohol kills the thing, so you should be just fine.

It is more deadly for young people and it is EXPONENTIALLY more deadly for older people and those with diseases. If you have a parent or grandparent over 65+ and/or a loved one with a disease like diabetes, cancer, etc (and ESPECIALLY if they have it AND are old) it is absolutely reasonable to be concerned about this.

It's definitely a cause for concern for older people or those with numerous pre-existing conditions, but the mortality rate is likely significantly lower because people with mild cases (they say some people have it and are barely affected by it) are not included in those numbers. The cases reported are the ones bad enough to where they go to the hospital and most people don't go to the hospital unless they are pretty bad off.
