I hate to see him go…he was the best coach in the SEC.
Pearl is the type of coach that many opposing fans despise...until they wake up one morning and learn that he's now coaching their team. Auburn is a perfect example. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing; I mean it with all due respect.
The same was true for me about Bill Walton. I couldn't stand him...until one day when he became a Celtic, and I instantly loved him.
