My wish for the playoff committee

I wish the committee had more leeway to set up the playoffs year-by-year. Specifically, that they could set a playoff that included anywhere from 2 to 6 teams, depending on who they thought was deserving of a chance. If there are more than 4 teams, the first round is played in two weeks at the higher seed's home stadium.

For instance, this year the committee could either have a two team playoff with Alabama and Clemson or a six team playoff with UGA@ND and OSU@OK in the first round.

Last year, Alabama and OSU could have played in Tuscaloosa for the right to play Clemson.

In 2011, Alabama and OK St could have played for the right to play LSU.

Etc, etc.

I know it's pointless wishful thinking, but that's how I would do it.
