LSU is clearly the best team in the SEC (therefore the best team in the country).
For a FIRST game performance LSU is scary good.
Bama was good against a high school team. Glaring lack of depth at running back.
USCe is shaky.
UGA failed and embarrassed the SEC as usual.
Ole Miss plays like old people frick.
Congrats LSU.

I still think the class of the SEC is LSU and Bama hands down. The national title goes through Tuscaloosa on 11/5 this year.

If the hogs O-line can gel and they half arse fill Knile's shoes they might have something to say about it, the defense will be much better than last year and I think the offense won't be as exciting, but more effective with Wilson.

Definitely. 11/5 is the only date that matters this year. I can only hope that the game is as great as the last several have been. SEC FTW. frick the other shitty conferences

You turn the ball over 5 times at Penn St and that game might not matter.

That won't happen. Sims would have been pulled if Saban hadn't promised them 3 series a piece per rotation. I'm not saying that we don't have problems (I'm definitely concerned with the O-Line's run blocking), but we should still win without too much trouble.

just calling it like i see it. i just think once saban opens up the d-playbook, very few points will be scored against them. and because they play both lsu and ark at home, they are the team to beat
Posted on 9/4/11 at 3:01 am to Head Hog
it does play to thier favor lsu and ark at home but beating both i think is highly unlikely honestly i see bama losing both games i know it is hard to see but i will eat my words if it does not happen

SC, because of our defense, will be questionable. Our offense is lights out though as long as Garcia is taking snaps.

Yeah, and as long as they're playing against an ECU.
I don't think that USC-E is a bad team, I just don't see them on par with the top tier SEC-"W" schools at this point.
I do realize however that the season is young and there's still a LOT of football to be played, so good luck to the Cocks in every game but ours.

lolwut? LSU beats the most overrated team in the country by 13 points in the final quarter and it "ain't even close"? Bookmarked.

Yeah, cuz Bama beating up on an upgraded high school team is in any way better than LSU absolutely curb stomping the #3 team in the country. The only thing that is clear is that you pigs suck arse.
Beating a team by 13 points after they fumble 4 times is not "curb stomping" them. You need to learn your football descriptors.
Also, Oregon is not the third-best team in the country.

quote:The preseason poll said UO was #3...based on what they lost on the O-line and on defense, I doubt that that was an accurate ranking.

3a. Arkansas-we will suffer if DJ doesn't get healthy for the Bama game
3b. MSU
5. Florida
6. USC
7. Georgia
8. Tennessee
9. Auburn
10. Ole Miss
11. Vandy
12. Kentucky
Get this shite out of here. LSU is back on top of the SEC. Sabanistas are going to have to sit on the back bench for a minute.

LSU controlled this game for the entire second half. UO's last score was meaningless. And "most overrated" beats the hell out of most of the shitbird squads that top teams choose to play in week 1.
We're taking this shite to the house (Superdome). Try to be supportive.

Bama looked like crap on offense and still got over 480 yards.

Oregon didn't deserve their ranking. It was a great game and I'm glad LSU won but an overrated Oregon played like shite.

If Cliff Harris had played in that game, you can automatically take away 7 (and perhaps even 14) points that LSU scored. Oregon is the most mediocre top-5 team I've seen in years, and if you think differently after watching, there's simply no convincing you. Moreover, beating a team that had 4 unforced turnovers and 100 yards of penalties does not make you an auto title winner.
Get that through your brain.
