What he is is a player with starting experience.

Which is what I'm trying to say. He is a three year "starter". He did play as many snaps as a starter. He is technically a "starter".

The problem here is I don't like to define starters by whether or not they actually started the game. I define one by how much they played.

Honestly I would take LSU's Minter and Jones before those others after Mosley but, we expect our LBs to do different things.

I could understand the younger guys, but Minter and Jones over Nico? When I said I'd take Mosley over Porter all of the LSU and aTm fans called me a homer, soooooooooooo

In your opinion does bama have anyother "technically starters" besides milliner and mosely?

I wanna say Sunseri can fit the bill for me, but he didn't play as many snaps until much later. He's just a guy with plenty of PT, but not enough to fit my description.

Dial and Stinson are imo. So is Downs and Edwards for LSU, but the difference is Downs and Edwards did "start" games for LSU.

Sunseri played Lowery's spot when he went down for the season and the secondary didn't miss a beat. I think DePriest is another future great. I'm as high on him as I was on Mosely when he went into his soph season. He's going to be really good.

Same. I'm really high on him. I think he's a better runn stuffer than CJ, but at the same time he's better in coverage than Nico and Hightower.

I KNOW LSU is the more experienced one of the two.

Here are the numbers of players and games played going into '12.

bama 41 players - 656 games played
LSU 44 players - 945 games played

There are a couple of players I ommited for LSU because most of their games played were just on STs.

As for bama's CBs last year. menzie and kirkpatrick were the two that started and never left the field.

What about the other DBs? It takes more than two DBs to man a secondary.

Congrats. More experience compared to enough experience doesn't make that big a difference. There is an experience soft cap of sorts. At one point you only need so much experience where you won't be a liability. After that I really don't care. We have enough experience.

I feel Belue and Dixon coming out of Juco is going to be able to step into the secondary and provide some good depth. They were the top 2 coming out of Juco at their position and Saban has mentioned how expects them to help out and singled out Belue during spring drills. I'm sure there will be a few growing pains learning the secondary, but I don't expect they'll be in the same position as our true freshmen in 2010 were. I feel pretty confident with Bama's secondary going into this season.

Oh, I was confused by it. I didn't think you were talking about the order.

There you go changing your story again.

First you said I thought LSU was much more experienced than bama. Then when I put up the numbers to show LSU actually is you switch from more experience to enough experience.

You do. I said that. So?

Do you really think LSU is going to win because they have more experience when we have enough to get by? If LSU wins it won't be because of experience, it'll be because they're the better team.

Does lester have a brother or did you post his name twice to give you more players.

haha - true soph, very limited PT

collins - true FR, hasn't even had his first practice

belue - juco, hasn't played in a single game for bama

dixon - juco, hasn't played in a single game for bama

geno - true FR, hasn't even had his first practice

Only two of the players listed have seen extensive defensive action for the tide.
