I'll give you mosley as a three year starter. Then use his actual starts to set the standard as a returning starter for LSU.

LSU returns ten starters on offense and nine on defense.

Fair is fair. We will refer to this as the mosley standard for returning starters.

It doesn't matter who started the game. It is how many snaps you played.

Didn't see him play defense in LSU @ bama game. He might have played special teams though. He didn't record any defensive stats in either of the games VS LSU.

Auburn was his best game though 4 solo and two assists. Posted same numbers VS the rebs but, in that game he was voted bama's ST player of the week so I'm assuming most of those were on kick coverage.

Besides those two there were only three other SEC games he was credited with tackles. Ark 2 assists. UF two solo tackles. Again ST player of the week so one must assume again those were on kick coverage and not on "D". UT 1 solo and 1 assist.

No recorded defensive stats VS Vandy, State and neither game vs LSU.

OOC I really don't care about.

Not saying he didn't have a lot of PT. It's just that in conference play he wasn't that effective except against auburn.

Just trying to get the facts straight.

First you refered to mosley as a THREE YEAR STARTER. Now it's about snaps played.

I'm so confused.

Notice how I put "" around starter. I've been saying it is all about snaps played. I don't see how you're confused when that has been my stance since...forever.

He played in the second one...but you saw that game. It isn't like the ball every went towards the secondary.

Wait, I'm getting confused. Was this not the topic that I said Mosley/Milliner were "starters" with the quotations?

Uhhhh, NO.

You refered to Mosely as an oversized safety and a THREE YEAR STARTER.

Look at what we lost in 2010, yet the following year we won the NC, your opinion sucks.

He played in both games. Had an INT in the NC game...that's not a stat?

He is.

THREE YEAR STARTER.

He basically is. He may not have been in on the first play, but he is basically a three year "starter".

Its really hard to perdict how good Alabama will be. The defense will not be as good as 2011 but not as bad as 2010.

No one knows how good Deion Belue will be. Hubbard could be a more effective pass rusher than Upshaw. Williams could be unstoppable at nose guard.

You just never know.

True, but we know he looks like a playmaker with the ability to be a tight corner. He's got the height for it, he needs to add a little weight, and he will before he leaves the Crimson Tide. The fact that he knows so much about the defensive scheme ALREADY says a lot about this kids work ethic and football IQ.

Within all reason, he will be. Upshaw could bull rush, and I love him, but he got a lot of coverage sacks. Hubbard is the ideal size for a Jack LB (could still add some more weight, but for a RS SO in his first year starting his size is fine.) and his speed/long arms will get him in the back field.

Same weight as Chapman, stronger, 3 inches taller, quicker, and more athletic in general.

So now the term is "BASICALLY a STARTER".

Well then "BASICALLY" LSU returns about two dozen STARTERS.

What do you call it when you play as many snaps, if not right under that number, as every other Linebacker that started the game?

No, you've already told us how many starters LSU returns...something like 28 was it?

If it was that easy we should put all of our second string guys on the field to start every game and then keep them out after that and call then when we lose our upperclassmen we can say we return all of our starters.

Arkansas with Hamilton, Mitchell and Gragg on the field at Receivers and Davis, Johnson or Wingo in the backfield Alabama or anyone else will have match up problems in their secondary. Mitchell and Gragg are both large and tall. Mitchell will go over anyone you have in your secondary. He will put a body on them too. Great Hands. If you double either Mitchell, Cobi or Gragg one of the others will get you. Maybe Wingo.

Both your D-Line and Linebackers will have to play honest this year or they will get BURNED for big plays in the Running game.

Gentlemen, this is going to be NO Day @ the Beach for a good Bama Team.
