well bolden doesn't stike me as a first rounder...and i haven't even heard of any other backs being back there...but its not to often a program has two first round running backs in their backfield at the same time

We could be bringing it back this year with Brandon Mitchell a QB who runs a 4.4 40 time and has a cannon for an arm.

i think what my fellow hog fan was trying to say was a very realistic point. you aren't gonna have the success that dmac and felix had running it....i mean come on you don't have two first round draft picks at running back.
Youre probably right, but I've never seen it run with a great runner/great passer. Mackey could be that. We saw how successful Cody Burns was in it last year simply because he could throw the ball. He doesnt throw it well or run well, but if you can really do both its dangerous. Not a running back like LT of Dmac that can throw it, but a true thrower and true runner and thats what we think we have with Mackey.

Good point we'll just remove all of those plays from our playbook then. I don't think we have Randy Moss in our receiving Corps either so we'll probably have to do away with any passing plays.

As he enters his Junior year......
And did you ever consider that the Wildcat helped turn them into 1st round picks? I'll give you that Felix has looked like one, but McFadden has been very much a bust so far as far as 1st rounders go.

As it sits, our starting line-up consists of Jerrell Powe player every position on the field.....simultaneously.

You will be wishing you had a passing game this year because this is the year Houston Nutt runs the ball on 3rd and 15 every time. And Sorry Arkansas actually runs a recognizable offense with possibly the best offensive mind in college football in Bobby Petrino and the best offensive player in the country in Ryan Mallett and the best WR group in the nation and one of the deepest RB groups in the country when Ole Miss gets that.. then we can talk. Its not gonna be pretty for the Webels when they come to Fayetteville this year.

Huh? Is that the HDN plan. throw in 70% of the time the first two seasons with a god awful QB and then the third year we run it every time? Dont understand your reasoning

wow.........
So I guess a BCS Championship is in order for the hawgs next year.
It's obvious that you aren't an alter because it's obvious that you haven't been here very long.

no reason to be a jackass about it. i'm just sayin possibly not as effective as felix and dmac in the backfield you get 50% of their production and you are doin pretty good. they were the best running back tandem the sec had seen in awhile.

the wildcat did help them quite a bit i would assume. I'm not calling Mcfadden a bust till he can get on a legit team. i know he hasn't produced there much but he really hasn't touched the ball much. Jones is and was always a beast here. I would also argue that mcfadden and jones could also opperate extremely well outta the standard formations

State never beats Arkansas or OM in Oxford.
I would definitely give OM the edge in Oxford this season. But, I do remember, when I was in college, a time when the road team won 5 straight Egg Bowls from 1994-1998. I think we can go 6-6. I'm interested to see how good Georgia will be.

With using several points from several different threads of Hawgs so far...
The Hawgs are destined for a championship because they have the best QB ever, WR's that run routes and catch balls(sometimes), and a defense that only needs to make 1 or 2 stops a game.
And yes, that last part was actually said about a month ago by a hawg fan.
I'm expecting every game next season to be in the ballpark of 83-35 in favor of Arky.
Never mind that the "greatest QB and greatest offensive mind in CFB" didn't really do much of anything against real defenses.

So if we do run it on 3rd and 15 will it be that much more frustrating when we beat you for the 3rd year in a row?

That's what I was thinking.
How does the greatest offensive mind in college football only score 10 points against a defense composed of < 5'8" DB's.
Surely he should be able to figure something out with a potential heisman trophy candidate at QB.
