Stanley is a lock to be the starter unless he gets hurt.

Just because Stanley is the starter doesn't mean that Cotton won't contribute in a dynamic way.

I've seen Stanley play for a good while now. We're gonna have to use more than one QB.

Thanks Billy for verifying what a buddy of mine who is an Ole Miss alum and diehard fan told me last weekend.

I could see the JUCO QB contributing more than Cotton if Stanley is the Starter. The JUCO guy is a wildcat type with a good arm.

He's still not a lock, no matter what your buddy says. Stanley has gotten a lead on the No. 1 spot with the good accuracy of his throws this Spring, but it's still open.

Oh Lawd, Mackey is going to have a huge impact.
That goes without saying. He is going to be our Wild Reb.

No.
Grandy is the Motion guy.
He's a WR.

Theres several people we could use out of it depending on who can do what. If Mackey can pick it up fast enough he will be our guy due to being able to throw and run.

Brandon Boldin has the most experience running it and will be the best up the middle option.

Grandy and Neat are the most explosive backs but neither have a lot of experience running it.

Stanley will be the starter more than likely.

Mackey will be wild rebel QB

Mackey + Cotton will be super rebel formation

Grandy / Neat will be motion guys, and I could see us possibly using Mireles for a deep threat to stretch the field

I could see us leaning hard on the wild rebel this year. With all of the speed involved and a decent deep threat it could be pretty effective and atleast keep the defense on their heals somewhat.

We're gonna lean hard on the run game and the Defense.

We just need our QB to make the Defense respect the pass.

I agree. The reason the Miami Dolphins are the only team to successfully run the wildcat consistently is because they run it a lot. You cant run it 5-10 plays a game. For it to work you need to run at least half your plays out of it.

If our offense struggles in a typical I formation, not being able to establish a running game and Stanley not being able to get teams to respect the pass we may just run wild rebel most of the time.

You mean the Wildhog. Nobody can run it like Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. Often imitated never duplicated.

We should ask him how to beat a conference USA team in the liberty bowl, when the need arises.

i think what my fellow hog fan was trying to say was a very realistic point. you aren't gonna have the success that dmac and felix had running it....i mean come on you don't have two first round draft picks at running back.
and yes we can give you pointers on how to beat a cusa team whenever the need arises cuz we won that game...it took a kicker missing 3 field goals but lets not act like our kicker was knocking them down either...it was a battle of whose kicker sucks worse
