So bama started playing football 8 years ago? What kind of run did you have before that?

I'm sure he was on some other bandwagon before then (or still in a diaper).

Why did he fail at UF?

He couldn't field an offense. Yes Spurrier is good at that but how do we know Spurrier can teach it or that Muschamp can learn it?

Bob Stoops is the name off the top of my head.

So that's one out of how many? That's my point. For every successfully groomed coach, there's a lot of others that fail.

some ironic Franchionesq truth is, he would bolt aubie for aTm in a heartbeat, or Tejas, IF the deck was stacked in his favor at the time

But I also think he can fool Jerry Jones. Everyone else has.

Who knows. Gus and the barn are really a match made in heaven as far as douchieness goes, but its just funny that whomever they hire becomes God, then ultimately hot garbage. Alabama had a few blemishes on the coaching front, but in the long run ended up with what represents the university the best. Winners.

Ok. Let's play that game and take it back to the time between Saban and when the old drunk croaked.

Bill Curry was solid, Ray Perkins was meh following Bryant, Stallings great coach, Dubose was mediocre, Early 2000's to 06 hurt. Kind of numb though with the sanctions. Makes winning like we had before then that much sweeter now though.

I was alive when Coach Bryant was coach. Been through great times, ok times, terrible times, and greater times.

We had one for 9 years not too long ago. Y'all had 6 in said time.

You kept a guy 9 years with no national title. Speaks volumes for your expectations. Since Bama started rattling off titles, you got desperate and got trigger happy.

If you count Joe Kines coaching a bowl game as interim and Mike Price who didn't see the sidelines then 6 with Dubose's last season as HC. Without those 3 then you have Dennis, Shula, and Saban

Oh, so we're playing that game now.
I agree with you then. Alabama has been the model of coaching stability the past 30 years.

There you go again.

Just like Bama. Always moving the goal posts.
