I meant if you were Ray Tanner, given everything that happened, who would you have gotten?

We tried Herman. He backed out after the citadel loss like a puss. Who would want a coach that doesn't take a job because of one game?

We tried Kirby Smart, but as soon as the UGA job opened we all knew he was headed there.

Fuente we never really even tried. I think discussions were had, and mutually parted ways.

Rich Rod, lol. We didn't even offer him and he got mad on the plane back to Zona and lied

Spurrier quit too late. Or too early. Whichever you want to believe. He thought he was doing what's best for us, but it wasn't.

So who else?

Not ... and I'll say it again. Why fire the whole staff if it was strictly about something Matlock allegedly said, which he did not.

This was a move that has been coming since January. Everyone was aware of it - Muschamp wanted to get all of his own people in place but the people he wanted could not be hired until after their spring games were finished because they were under contract.

Now, whether or not he still gets that person to come here after all of this is yet to be seen ... it's iffy right now, but the change, one way or another, was inevitable. And Muschamp has that right, to hire whoever he wants in an effort to put his own people, of his choosing, in place.

But he handled this poorly.
