Look at the UGA vs UF games before Spurrier. UGA dominated that matchup, but then they won 1 out of the next 14 matchups. UGA still leads, and they've won 5 out of the past 23 (after Spurrier's arrival to UF.) That matchup started to become a rivalry in dawgs eyes then.
Spurrier's won the past 3 games in the USC vs UGA series, so there's something trending. Maybe not a rivalry, but it's going the right direction.
